Questions worth asking

What does it cost to list an event?
Nothing. There is no monthly fee, no contract and no listing fee, and free events cost nothing at all. On a paid ticket we charge 2.75%, plus up to $0.25 that phases in gradually on tickets over $13.00 — added on top of your price and paid by the buyer. On a $20.00 ticket your buyer pays $21.53 and you receive $20.00.
When do I get paid?
5 business days after the event, or 3 business days after the event on the $9.99/month tier. That is when the money becomes yours to be paid. Stripe's bank transfer then takes a further business day or two to land, the same as any card payout anywhere.

The money is yours from that moment whether or not it has finished moving. If a card payment is still settling when your date arrives, the payout goes out on the next daily run rather than being reduced or cancelled. Two things genuinely delay it: a disputed payment, which is held until the dispute resolves, and a brand new Stripe account, which Stripe holds for its first payout regardless of us. Neither takes the money away from you.

Your ticket money lands in your own Stripe account the moment a ticket sells. We never hold it, and it is visible to you the whole time. What waits for the event is the transfer out to your bank, and that is what makes a cancellation clean: nothing is ever pulled back out of your account after the fact, and Refund Protection costs you nothing when a buyer uses it. You are never holding someone else's risk.
Can I keep the address private until the day?
Yes. Mark the exact address private and set a public location such as a neighborhood or cross street. The street address is withheld from the event page, search, the map and the feed until you press release, and then only people holding a ticket can see it. It is never sent to anyone else, so it cannot be dug out of the page. That is the whole point: you can promote the night openly without posting where it is.
Can I post video, or is it just a flyer?
Short video, on the event page and in the app's feed. Most listings anywhere are one static image, which tells someone nothing about whether a night is any good. A clip of the actual room does. Photos work too, and the first one becomes your banner.
How do people actually find my event?
Search, a map, category browsing, and a short-form video feed where clips from upcoming events play full screen. Every event also gets its own page and its own link, which works anywhere you already post.

That link is yours. Put it in your bio, your story, your flyer. Your audience stays your audience. We never sit between you and the people who already follow you.
What do I get for running the door?
A QR scanner that checks tickets in on your phone, and a duplicate scan reads as a loud warning rather than a quiet pass. You can mint time-limited links for door staff so they can scan without seeing your sales, payouts or settings, and revoke a link the moment you need to.

You also get live per-event sales while doors are open and capacity alerts as you approach your limit. Discount codes and group offers are free.
